SYLVIA LEE
Dr. Lee was born in Poland but grew up in the Washington, D.C. area. She attended The University of Virginia for her undergraduate education and then settled in Richmond in 1998. She attended the Virginia Commonwealth University -School of Medicine for medical school and her Pediatric residency. She has been practicing pediatrics for over 14 years, both in private practice and providing care to our military’s children at Fort Lee. During her 5 years at Kenner Army Health Clinic at Fort Lee, she had an opportunity to spearhead several behavioral health initiatives and received training as Clinic Provider Educator for the Army’s Child and Family Behavioral Health Service. She served on the Coordinated Care Committee, the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee, as well as championed many other pioneering initiatives to enhance patient care. In addition to her continued training and education in up-to-date behavioral health management, Dr. Lee specifically received training through the REACH Institute.
Complete Care For Kids has joined the Pediatric Clinically Integrated Network established by Children's Hospital of Richmond at VCU. Dr. Lee has been involved with the CIN since its inception and currently serves on the Board of Directors. In addition, she serves on the board of the Newborn Screening Committee of the Division of Consolidated Laboratory Services at the Virginia Department of Health.
Dr. Lee loves pediatrics because of the relationships she can form with patients and families as she helps guide children and their parents through the growth and developmental milestones of childhood and adolescence. She is a devoted advocate for her patients and collaborates with specialty providers to provide integrated care. She enjoys all aspects of pediatrics but is especially passionate about the mental health and preventative care of our children.
When she’s not taking care of her patients or steps away from her role as a small business owner, Dr. Lee devotes her time to her 2 boys, who are in 5th and 9th grade. (Leaving some attention for her Maltese Nico and Morkie Max)
